Born Magda Velez(aka) Kelani in Brooklyn, New York. Kelani was singing since the age of 5. Inspired by her father at an early age she exceled to become what we know today. Kelani moved to Maui, Hawaii were she was inspired by the culture and island music. Maui like other Hawaiian islands enjoy reggae music and She idols Bob Marley, Mariah Carey, and Christina Agulera. Kelani's taste in music wouldn't be complete with not mentioning Keali'I'Reichel, Mana'O'Company and island natives Maoli. Kelani music has many influences and styles, but with a sultray sound. Her song "Brown Eyes Blue" or "Believe" will take you to that place or on the beach with her song "Surrender". Are you feeling irie? Well Kelani's debut song is titled just that 'Feeling Irie" and is radio friendly and plays in Hawaii frequently. Kelani will inspire you so relax yourslf to her beautiful voice and music.
