Kid Wise

Malik "Kid Wise" Nelson, is an American Recording Artist and Radio Personality originally from Clarksville, Tennessee. He began his musical journey by battle rapping in Albuquerque, NM and eventually found his way to Florida to work in the vibrant Gainesville/ University of Florida community. Immediately he began writing and recording EDM influenced hip hop songs and performing along acts such as Chanel West Coast (MTV), The Ying Yang Twins, Hip Hop Legend KRS ONE, Travis Porter, and several national and international EDM acts. He gained experience as a frontman and received notoriety among the hip hop and EDM communities which landed him an internship at WTMJ Magic 101.3 FM broadcasting in the North Florida markets. He quickly became part of the team as a On Air Radio Personality for the weekend and night shifts showing an outstanding natural talent behind the microphone. Being fully immersed in the music world, he quickly found that the patterns from the beginning roots of hip hop are the same in the EDM world. Realizing that the hip hop world no longer respected original talent he cast his nets into the EDM world and received overwhelming support from fans of both genres.
