Bio

L-D.U.B.S.  an acronym for Living-Destined Until Better Success, was born in Flint, Michigan, July 25, 1988.  He started pursuing music at the tender age of 12. At the age of 15, he was forced to move south to Morganfield, Kentucky due to adoption and state legal rights. During that time he began to focus all his energy on music fulltime. During high school, he began honing his craft by being involved in various music programs. He would often beatbox and freestyle in the lunchroom and received rave reviews by his peers. His first major performance was performing during a fundraiser to raise money for a fellow classmate who needed a kidney. It was then that L-D.U.B.S. knew that he had the talent and the power to impact the world through his music.

During the Fall of 2007, L-D.U.B.S. attended Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky. After completing one year, he dropped out and headed back home. Months passing, he was connected with some local emcees who shared the same passion as he did. Linking up with R&B singer, he began recording again. L-D.U.B.S. became more confident in his music when he caught up to a local artist and mentor named, Kasper. Kasper told him, “You’re going to be a great success someday.”  It was those words that spoke to L-D.U.B.S.’ heart and gave him the motivation and support needed to continue on his musical journey.

In 2009, L-D.U.B.S. began working on his first solo project. Doors quickly opened for him. He was soon asked to be the opening act for Cash Money’s recording artist, Allstar, national recording group, Crime Mob, and upcoming artist, Tha Joker. His first single, “Blast Off” featured on his upcoming debut album has received great praise from critics and fans alike and is continuing to receive local and online airplay.
