Life’s Little Thrills Bio
Life’s Little Thrills is a musical group that uses electric instruments; two electric guitars, electric bass, and (dissimilarly) an acoustic drum kit. They play original music that deals with themes such as automation, the information revolution, truth and mediation, intoxication, and love. These themes are dealt with in a cynical and satirical manner, partially from spite, necessarily out of alienation. The aural spectrum of the group ranges from aggression, to reverence. They play in the surf rock tradition which allows for each musician to display their virtuosity, but in a coherent manner in order to preserve their commitment to song. The group consists of Lucas Richardson, Tyler Richardson, Graham Young, and Matei “Crow” Iliescu. They try to remember their basic creed that “the small things in life are really the big things in life”, but they find it difficult sometimes.
