Light Treasons is what happens when 5 Louisville guys who love Every Time I Die try to write pop songs. It all began when Joel Eichenberger (drums) and Zack Pennington (guitar) decided they were tired of being adults and wanted to start a band that sounded like a heavy Jimmy Eat World. Problem is, neither one are great singers. They recruited Zack’s friend Rob Diver (vocals & guitar) to be in his first band on the premise that they might open for Thrice if they ever reunited. After a temporary hiatus from starting his monster truck driving career, Clay Nevels (guitar & vocals) moved back to Louisville to join his former bandmates. After forcing Rob to be their bassist at practice, the foursome recruited long time friend and Periphery quality guitarist, Chris Hysell, to play bass. They released their debut self-titled EP in May 2015 (Mixed & Mastered by Jordan Haynes of Artifex Pereo). Influences include Arrested Development (the band), The Devil Wears Prada (the book), and Miller Lite (the beer).
