In a world so full of pain and hate, we are desperate for change. We need a revolution.
This is exactly where the Los Angeles, CA band Lions Among Us has stepped in. After experiencing some of the worst parts that life can offer, the members of Lions concluded that they never want anyone else to feel the same way. They never wanted anyone to feel alone or abandoned. Since their inception, this has been their focus: to show people that there is more to life than the hopelessness and hate they have been shown.
Their medium is music.
Their particular mix of hardcore/metal and pop influences leads to something a little different in an otherwise overly saturated music scene.
Their debut EP “The Unfailing Answer” which included a cover of the Katy Perry’s “Part of Me”, showcased their pop influence while still pulling in their hardcore roots and adding their own spice. It is here with other songs like “Don’t Hold Back” and “Love Revolution” that their career was solidified.
After much preparation, they finally entered the studio for their next release. Working with Josh Schroeder at Random Awesome Studios, someone who has worked with such artists as The Color Morale, For Today, For the Fallen Dreams and Those Who Fear, there were very high hopes for this new record. “Re:awakening” was born. And it did not disappoint. From the first notes of “Call to Arms” to the ring-out, ending “Sola Fide”, the truth and passion in this record pour out. It is much darker, heavier and much more passionate and personal than before. Though heavier and darker, their message did not change.
In February 2016, Lions Among Us released their third record "Dream Chaser". Starting with the extremely catchy single "Dreamcatcher" to the beat-down ferocity of "Rival Factions" and fusing the pop and electronic aspects of their first record with the dark and heavy aspects of their second, "Dream Chaser"did not disappoint.
With this, they're taking their message to the streets harder than ever.
