Bio

A young 32, M-D.O.T. is positioned as the next hip hop artist to sneak up on the industry and take over. This Oceanside, CA native picked up the pen as early as age 11 writing poetry that impressed his teachers and family members. By 17 he was part of a group called the Get It Bwoys, a local favorite in Oceanside and by 2007 he came out with his first mixtape "The Competition is Coming" under Get it Bwoys Records.  Before releasing his 2nd mixtape he was incarcerated for 3 years in state prison. Not letting that stop him, M-D.O.T. Used this time and poured himself into music and writing. He came out of prison in 2013 with a fire under him immediately establishing his own record label: Siqq Dreamz Music Group (2Qs for short) and subsequently released his 2nd mixtape "Musically Dwelling on Thoughts". In 2014 he won the San Diego Artist Search competition and released his 3rd mixtape Dwelling on Thoughts 2. In 2015 he was selected as one of the top 15 freshmen in San Diego for Daygo Unity Magazine as well as DJ Dirty Birds top 10 Freshmen of San Diego. His Album Closer to Conquering was then released. In 2017 he won 2nd place at the San Diego On The Map Cypher competition and in 2018 M-D.O.T. released his mixtape 5,000 Hours and is now working on a number of projects which include West Coast influence, R&B and his signature sound of hardcore lyricism, witty metaphors, and story telling about his life in Oceanside. M-D.O.T. Has continually juggled his music along with his beloved annual charity book bag drives each summer, and fighting to gain visitation and eventual custody of his children. With the odds stacked against him, in 2018 through to 2020 M-D.O.T. has had intermittent trouble with the law and is now currently in jail fighting for release to rehabilitation. The one thing that is consistent and holds him together is his music. Turning pain into passion and then turning passion into productivity, M-D.O.T. Will soon be releasing his next mixtape: 6,000 Hours and then his next album: Musically Dwelling On Thoughts 3, all leading up to his highly anticipated EP: BLACK MAN WARRIOR (B. M. W. Music)
