"CBS NEWS"

Madison born and raised rap artist Pooh G. is out with a new song to represent Badgers faithful in the NCAA tournament.

It's called "Bucky Badger" and Pooh G. was a live guest on the CBS 58 News at 4 on Monday in the hours leading up to the big game against Duke.

"Bucky came to me in a dream," explained Pooh. "He said 'yo' you and I should definitely do a song together."

The reaction has been extremely positive. Athletic Director Barry Alvarez makes a cameo appearance in Pooh's "I'm With Bucky" video on youtube.

Pooh says the success of the team means everything to natives who enjoy the sense of community but also fun of the college town.

He hopes his song will get across that vibe to music fans everywhere. - CBS NEWS

Bio

Mister formally known as Pooh uses witty metaphors, diverse rhyme schemes and soul penetrating punchlines to express his music to hiphop fans everywhere. His wide variety of flows and flow switch ups, are sure to catch your ear, enticing your subconscious to catch onto every word to feel the full effect of the Badgergod.

Mister has plans for a future project but for now he is keeping his fans occupied with dropping singles and videos. His newest single “Wait On It” is the first song he’s dropped since changing his stage name to Mister. Mister’s most recent video features Chicago artist Dotarochi a.k.a S.Dot called “Peanut Butta”. Aside from leaving corpses in the studio Mister runs a hip-hop program at a local community center where he works with middle and high school students. This program is important to Mister because he didn’t have a mentor growing up alongside being raised in a multicultural bi-racial home; Mister wasn’t allowed to listen to hip-hop. Even without the influence of hip-hop present in his younger years leading into teenage years, his love for hip-hop continued to grow. Somehow the hip-hop born inside him never died.

Music has been the “go to” for Mister thus bringing opportunities for him to perform and tour around the country creating some crazy experiences.  Mister was featured on CBS News for pre-game coverage for the WIAA Championship 2015. Music also has gotten Mister through some crazy times. In middle school Mister’s mom was diagnosed with cancer and was unable to work. This made life very difficult because mom was the only parent and the only person paying bills. Although, at that time life wasn’t ideal Mister made the best of every situation and that struggle ultimately shaping him into the artist we see today.

With all his life experiences positive and negative Mister illustrates life from multiple points of views combined with lyrical ecstasy which produces a sound that gives life an extra life. As cleaver or catchy as Mister’s studio performance may be, his stage performance is an experience all in its own. With events and festivals such as SXSW, MyHotradio tour, Beloit River feast, Madison’s Juneteenth, DefJam’s talent showcase, and countless performances at parties and night clubs including Indianapolis’s Livingroon Lounge. The Madison artist’s has traveled the country with performing with the likes of Killa Klan Bricksquad’s PaperBoy, Danity Kane’s Dwoods, and opening up for platinum selling artist TWISTA. It is to no surprise that Mister is takes over any stage he’s on. You will easily find yourself rapping lyrics with him, and turning up to his catchy tunes and genius flows.
