Don't miss your LAST CHANCE to submit to the Montreal Folk Festival on the Canal, which will showcase some of the top names in Montréal folk, roots and bluegrass music. Last year's performers were Rob Lutes, Annabelle Chvostek, Notre Dame de Grass, United Steel Workers of Montreal, Caloon Saloon, Lake of Stew, Maica and the Suitors, and Perhaps Because, as well as Niagara region's Scott Normandy and Toronto’s The Good Lovelies./n/nHello Darlin' Productions, Hyperbole Music and the Centre St-Ambroise have partnered to present the second annual Montréal Folk Festival on the Canal. Slated for June 27, 2009, this special one-day music event will take place at the St-Ambroise Terrace, located behind the McAuslan Brewery (5080 St-Ambroise Street) along the historic Lachine Canal.



The Folk Festival on the Canal will showcase some of the top names in Montréal folk, roots and bluegrass music. This year's edition will also call on some of the top touring acts in folk. Last year's performers were Rob Lutes, Annabelle Chvostek, Notre Dame de Grass, United Steel Workers of Montreal, Caloon Saloon, Lake of Stew, Maica and the Suitors, and Perhaps Because, as well as Niagara region's Scott Normandy and Toronto’s The Good Lovelies.



For a great day of music, BBQ food and, of course, McAuslan Brewing’s award-winning beer, don’t miss the second edition of the Folk Festival on the Canal, which will no doubt prove to be a folk music highlight in Montréal this year!



Gates open at noon and there will be Live music from 1PM–10PM. Tickets are $30 to the public (pre-sale ticket price is $20). The festival will take place rain or shine. Food and beverages are available as well as on-site parking available.
