"Peace Love and Stuff, the evening’s opening act, is a polished, high-energy act that’s a comfortable fit in a wide variety of lineups. Its sound is rockabilly infused and tight, with nary a weak link in the band. Timekeeper Joe McGuire and bassist Jacob Doll keep the low end hopping, while the band’s flash and sizzle is supplied by incomparable front woman Lavonne McRoberts and the sensational slide work of lead guitarist Dylan Boyle. Currently working on its first full-length album, Peace Love and Stuff has honed its live shows over the past several months, developing a performance that is cohesive and fun." - Cityview
Also on stage Friday: It can be hard to look at Peace Love and Stuff and see much besides singer Lavonne McRoberts. Not only because she looks the part — all vintage style with Kewpie doll looks — but because she’s loud, bombastic and bursting with energy on stage. She also has the good fortune of being backed by some really excellent musicians. Guitarist Dylan Boyle’s slide work was absolutely blistering, and the rockabilly rhythms churned out by bassist Jake Doll and drummer Joe McGuire were spot-on. “I, I, I” is my favorite track from the band, but its closing cover of Johnny Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues” was arguably the song of the night.

Peace, Love, and Stuff pretty much have it all. Clever song writing, honest delivery, extraordinary talent, and an organic passion lacking any pretense. A rare collaboration of gifted individuals who have as a means and to the end, above all else, FUN. - Jamie Stepp: Recording Engineer Capp Audio Productions
Listening to Peace, Love, and Stuff makes me want to chug a big glass of ice tea, and jump around all crazy like. They have a fantastic, rustic sound that makes it impossible to resist tapping your toe. Their tunes will make you smile. - Benny Black: New Rock 105.1 Iowa Unsigned

Bio
Peace, Love and Stuff is a vintage rock band from Des Moines drawing inspiration from blues, rockabilly and pop.
The band's distinct style of coupling classic chord progressions with a contemporary pop feel has been praised as a "polished, high-energy act that’s a comfortable fit in a wide variety of lineups," by Des Moines' Cityview magazine.
"The vintage rock four-piece provides one of the most entertaining local shows around, and it doesn’t do it through pyrotechnics, flashy costumes (though McRoberts’ style has its own group of fans) or lighting gimmicks. Instead, the group engages its audience through the power of old-fashioned rock ‘n’ roll played really well." (Cityview - April 16, 2014.)
To date, Peace, Love and Stuff has independently released two EPs and is putting finishing touches on its first full-length album.
