Bio

Music comes in various shapes and textures; soft or loud; simple or complex; rhythmic or melodic. As Christian Music artists, we ask the musical question; can we create music that blends prayer, reflection, and worship into multiple musical genres and still deliver the message of hope found in God's mercy and love? From our perspective and from the perspective of our fans who embrace our music, The answer is yes.

We are, Greg Pierson and Stephan Young, known as the Pierson-Young Project. Spiritually, our mission focuses on planting seeds of hope amid a culture where hopelessness and negativity are crammed down the throats of those who are daily struggling for air. Musically our mission is to create music that plants those seeds in a variety of genres, folk, gospel, rock. Etc. for the enrichment of the listener.  Since our teen years as members of the New Jerusalem Prayer Community in Cincinnati, Ohio, we've been friends. We began our spiritual walk under the leadership of a Franciscan priest, Richard Rohr. Inspired by him and the community of believers we connected with; music became a way to express our faith. There were numerous opportunities to minister to others through music.

As we moved into our adult years, individually, we continued to live out our lives and our faith. We got married, raised families, and continued to use music as a powerful tool for self- expression, and ministry wherever that would lead us. In 2015 our paths led us back together in music ministry with the 2016 album release of “Hope is Alive”. Our second album “May You Dwell in Unity” was released in 2018. Annually we co-sponsor an event called "Share the Journey; a Concert for Compassion". This is a charity event to raise funds for organizations that work with refugees, migrants, and immigrants. Although we are a performing duo, we have a core of support musicians who perform with us during live performances.
