WHO IS POTT?

Originating from the rich culture and hot diverse rhythms that is the DMV (Tri state Metro area of DC, MD, VA), POTT - acronym for Product Of The Trap-  is a refreshingly unique hip-hop artist among his peers. Listen to POTT's' MUSIC  and experience the  relevant and meaningful  braggadocios coupled with bodacious rhymes.  POTT is also    known for his critical and witty bars. These define the POTT brand with respect to his creative expressions of rap music and all  topped with his command of surrealism in his music and aspects of his persona.

POTT  has been relentless in bringing the DMV area to new heights. Known by his artist persona – Pott, Andrew Asifo was born with West African roots- GHANA to be exact. While growing up in the DMV, he developed into a musical entrepreneur , honing his craft as a rapper, managing a recording studio, and most recently the front man for the label Black Hawk Records. His relentless approach to recording and music collaborations has led him to work alongside J.R. Writer and Beanie Sigel. 

Following the success of his previous mixtape “Rich Without Rap”, his current project “Sign Now Or Suffer Later ” is scheduled for release in June of  2015. This project will feature his badass singles “John Wall”, and "Showin' Off" which is currently on iTunes. ,as well as his single featuring Beanie Sigel "IWork". Pott looks to transform 2015 to be a promising year for his music career and fans. He consistently delivers as a clever, bombastic, and suave individual while on the microphone. This is to no surprise, as this is true to his character when not on the microphone. His competitive spirit motivates him to continue honing his style and deliver as an emcee.

Focused and on  a mission, POTT is set out to continue taking over the DMV area and beyond. He has created a movement encouraging his fans and others to “Help Push POTT”. This contagion of this  movement has conjointly rested on the DMV area’s own push to legalize marijuana, as well as, show support for the Virginia native. The movement has only continued to increase as POTT  continues to perform in the area with some of the rap industry’s elites, 2 Chainz, Joe Budden, and Lil’ Boosie. These are all stepping stones as Pott aims deliver in being the DMV area’s lead man in rap.
