"Seems that the new wave music of the early 80's has aged better than expected. Case and point, local cover band Radio Radio. These guys have tapped into a niche of gems from this era, long forgotten songs of our youth. The band is performing old favorites from bands like the Psychedelic Furs, The Clash and Flock of Seagulls without the typical schlock of traditional cover bands. Color us impressed!" - Dr. New Wave Blog
Paying homage to the ghosts of new wave past, Radio Radio (using the song of the same name as a starting point to the evening) ripped through 90 minutes of forgotten hits from the playlists of early MTV. And JJ Jackson was smiling upon all of us. Unlike typical bar bands that play a night of oldies or current top hits, on this evening the crowd was treated to tunes by Split Enz, early INXS, the Plimsouls and the Cure. A definite step away from a standard night at the club. - mkeafterdark

"Most times I find myself ignoring (at best tolerating) cover bands at events like these, but the standout of the whole evening, even ahead of the good beer selection, was Radio Radio. Absolute energy with a no-frills approach to some lost favorites from the new wave scene of my youth. The band was what kept the crowd drawn in for a relentless 2 hour display of top-flight stuff. I hope to see them again."

"As long as I’m at it...another great new cover act is Milwaukee’s Radio Radio. Instead of looking for whatever is popular on the current air waves like most cover bands in town, Radio Radio plays songs from the pop/new wave era of the late 1970's and early 1980's. Paying attention to bands such as Echo and the Bunnymen, The Cars, Psychedelic Furs, and INXS the boys are obligated to play the type of song that so many of us love yet rarely hear anymore. These guys are certain to treat audiences, and dancers, to long forgotten gems from the vaults of new wave. Don't miss them!"
