M.

Originally from Toronto, Canada and now residing in Sacramento, California, M. is a clean female rapper with a mission to empower women and inspire our youth. M. sees herself as a "kid-friendly Nicki Minaj" or a "female Macklemore." 

In 2012, after a seven year long career in public relations, M. decided to listen to her inner voice to figure out what she wanted to do outside of being a mother. It was at this time that M. got a "download" to take a stab at rewriting popular rap songs that could use more positive messaging. M. reconnected with her rap roots and resurrected her childhood passion of writing rhymes, but this time with youth and parents in mind.

This led to the creation of her YouTube Channel to post her rap songs, to being asked to perform and emcee large events in Vancouver for women and moms, to writing custom raps for businesses including LunaPads, Ford Canada, Granola Girl, Little Dreamers Sleep Consulting, Quantum Leap Speaking, and Peekaboo Beans clothing, to name a few.

When her third daughter was six months of age, M. decided it was time to raise some capital to complete an EP. In December 2013 she exceeded her goal and raised almost $8,000! M. launched two singles at the end of 2014 on her web site. The first track is titled "Day Away" and is about the need to have a day off and the second track "Face The Music" asks rappers to be more responsible with their lyrics.

M. is currently working on writing an album covering topics such as identity loss, self-love, mom-love, purpose, life, the struggle, and more.​ She is excited to partner with a rap producer who shares her vision to create chart-topping songs that motivate and inspire adults and youth to follow their dreams as she is.
