Bio
Accomplished singer and songwriter, Doc performs as a soloist and also with his band, Granite Island, in intimate and large scale venues. Best known for his 80’s and 90’s rock and metal music, Doc also presents audiences with an extensive variety of styles and genres during a show. After learning and performing over 1000 songs, he has a way of picking great popular songs that provide a super entertaining and unique experience.
Since his early childhood, Doc has always had a fascination with guitars. His earliest influences were Elvis, Van Halen and Bob Seger. Eddie Van Halen was the guitarist who made him determined to play guitar. Along with playing guitar, Doc also has an amazing and strong singing voice, resulting in him singing lead or backup vocals as a solo artist and in bands. Being a great storyteller, Doc always brings a closer, personal interaction with the audience. As he says, “I just love to put on a show!”
Doc has also written many of his own songs and performed in various iconic venues such as the Whisky and the Rainbow in LA. In 2008, he was the mastermind behind a Los Angeles favorite band, Whitedingo. While in L.A. he also worked with many accomplished artists and bands.
During 2020, when the world was shut down, he started his newest band, Granite Island, where he wrote and produced a new self titled album which was released in August 2022 and is currently available wherever you stream music.
