About
The Santo 7 is a band born in 2012 in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. Created by Robson de Almeida, former drummer of the band Lampirônicos, the new project entitled 'psychedelic baião' prints a peculiar dynamics and creates a very own identity in its rhythmic approach through the bass drum, which is no longer a simple monitoring tool to make the forefront of the musical work.
The new Robson Almeida project is a mixture of characteristic rhythms Northeast - baião, xote and xaxado - with electronic music, resulting in the style called 'psychedelic baião'. The repertoire consists of copyright songs, including 'Santa Clara', 'Casa' - one of 14 finalists in the XII Music Festival Educator FM (2014) made in partnership with Aldemir Cameron - and 'Baião Itapuã', included in the First collection Musical Map of Bahia, project carried out by the State of Bahia Cultural Foundation - FUNCEB - which selected 77 songs from 1367 copyright compositions.
