Soheil Al Fard

Formed in 2012 by brothers Jace and Marc Lowe, along with drummer and long time friend Zach VanBecelaere, Soheil Al Fard started mainly as just a project but after booking their first show in late 2013 at local McCarthy's Pub, they soon started gigging at other local and regional venues with other local talents. Throughout the year 2014, SAF played a select amount of gigs but mainly focused time into putting together a demo and in November of 2014 released the Serpent Stone Demo on digital release on ReverbNation, BandCamp, Myspace and Soundcloud. 
One of the demo songs titled "Ancient Tome" was played regularly on local station Radio X 103.5 for their local music spot along with local bands Zero 2 Panic, Take The Day, Verbose and Lunarheadz.
In 2015, SAF auditioned quite a few bassists and guitarists. Although, unable to recruit a bassist that met the bands style, they did find a place for guitarist and high school friend, Jacob Jones, who previously with Marc helped form local metalcore band The Breathing Sequence, who had a short run of shows in 2010.
After Jacob joined the band, SAF was able to spread to the nearest big cities playing shows in Lawrence, KS, Kansas City and Springfield, MO.
During the summer of 2016, SAF played a series of local shows at TJ Lelands, Average Joe's and Blackthorn Pub then in August, vocalist Jace Lowe announced his departure from the band. They played one last show with Jace at a local house party on October 26th 2016, which led to a year hiatus and postponement of the current progress of their EP, which was unnamed and the time.
For the rest of 2016 and most of 2017, activity amongst the band was at minimum, but before the hiatus SAF had recorded all but bass for their upcoming EP with help of Mason Vanderpool of local band Lunarheadz. While on hiatus Mason learned and recorded the needed bass tracks for the EP and sent a rough mix to the band. 
  Also while on the break, Marc had been teaching himself to vocalize and play guitar at the same time to take the place of his brothers absence and in May of 2017 began finishing vocal recording for their upcoming Nature EP later released on April 10th 2017.
With an EP under their belts and Mason willing to play bass for upcoming shows, SAF booking two comeback shows both on the same day. 
One being Screamfest, a haunted trail type Halloween show, to which they played the 6pm slot and the second being the album release show for local band of brothers, In'ere.
Since then Mason has stepped out as bassist but SAF has kept a steady line of shows since 2017 with other local bands Death by Zombie and The Less Fortunate.
On December 7th 2018, Soheil Al Fard released a 2 song demo titled "TIDE DEMO 2018" on Bandcamp and other online streaming sites and announced they'd be recording their first LP in spring/summer of 2019.
Also in December of 2018, SAF announced that they'll be featured on the lineup for TopekaMetalFest alongside up and coming regional and even national touring acts on September 20th-21st, 2019.
