"Sons On Fire - Faded"

SONS ON FIRE hits it off hard with their EP album. It gives us just a taste of things that could be in store for us come later when they release their next album. This album brings many good old fashioned aspects of rock into its music. It is definitely a unique sound that I have only heard from them. While listening to this album, it had me feeling relaxed and powerful, and it was definitely just what I needed in that moment.

“Faded”, the first song on this EP is a great introduction to this band's sounds. You can surely feel that hard rock background, but the way that the tone is presented is melodic such that it helps ease the stresses of life, as well as of the song. The tale the song tells isn’t the easiest one to swallow if you really listen to the lyrics.

The next track we have is “Paralyzed”, and it starts out just rockin away. Leading in with powerful lyrics, it develops into a powerful rocking melody that most likely won’t leave you paralyzed. You may find yourself in a paralyzing sea of emotions if you listen for the deeper meaning within this great work of musical art.

“Just A Man” is the third track on this 4 track EP. Beginning with an amazing guitar, you are then stricken by the powerful vocals that come out of your speakers. This song has a powerful undertone you could draw upon for deep inspiration, or just for an amazing listening experience. This song, along with the entire album, delivers power in its own very unique way.

I am going to leave the listening of the last track to you, as I don’t want to give everything on the album away. Just know that “Broken Dreams” delivers that same unique sound mentioned earlier. Power and melody blend together in amazing ways. If you are looking for something to listen to at the end of a hard day, this album may be just what the doctor ordered. Go give it a listen!

"Sons On Fire 'Faded' Album Review By JD Rich"

Cooler weather encroaches as Autumn creeps closer, but music is getting hotter as we progress toward the end of this miserable year. You might say the tunes aren’t just getting hotter...they’re on fire! Sons On Fire, to be exact. This five-piece band is burning up the music scene with their debut EP Faded, bursting out September 25th.

I’m taking you to the West Coast city that means “a whale’s vagina” in German, according to Ron Burgundy (I never said I was a cunning linguist).

Faded is a quick listen, with 4 songs clocking in at just under 15 minutes. Gritty riffs lay the foundation for a California interpretation of Southern Rock, with a little more modern bite. Besides, if I didn’t know any better, I would’ve thought Paul Stanley (KISS) sporadically stepped in for a few turns behind the mic. Vocals are crystal clear, and you can feel the intricacies of relationship drama without getting bummed out or bored. The material is presented matter-of-factly in the language of experiences we can all relate to. Call it a collection of power ballads, with emphasis on power. Not the kind of power from speed metal or thrash. More like the capacity to recognize deception and purge toxic influences. All of this set to earworm-inducing hooks that settle in for the duration.

Sons On Fire may not explode onto the scene of mass consciousness, instead preferring to burn long and hot without burning out. Ironically, Faded shines brightly with audio texture and ample servings of meaty melodies. No wasteful filler anywhere to be found, this EP is a must add to your personal playlist if you enjoy memorable lyrics to sing along with. This is especially true if you find yourself in a relationship conundrum, and I’m not talking about only the kind with a significant other (or lack thereof). Faded holds up a mirror, asking if this is your intended path. No matter the answer, Sons On Fire is your soundtrack to finding the light at the end of your particular tunnel. - Boston Rock Radio

Bio

San Diego's own Sons ON Fire has quickly become known in music industry circles and with  fans around the world as a band bound and determined to make its mark among the heavy hitters of the active rock genre today.  You see it all over the radio landscape as their first singles "Faded" and "Just A Man" tore up the Billboard charts for almost a full year.  Amazing progress so far but that is just part of the story.    Born during COVID...which obviously affected all of us....one of it's members also  lived through and recovered from the Santana High School mass shooting many years ago.  It is not something that the band talks about very much but is a perfect example of a group of men that know how to survive, fight, drive to an end result and in turn succeed no matter what adversity stands in their way.

SOF now explodes out of lock down to bring you a national tour to support their debut EP "Faded" this October as well as feature a slew of brand new songs set to be recorded and released in early 2022!  They are always moving,  driving and pushing hard rock boundaries in order to bring the FANS what they long have deserved....carefully crafted ,amazing heart pounding music and a live show that is second to none.  All designed to blow ya away and leave ya craving for what's next.  Well...truth be told....The NEXT is here and now from Sons ON Fire!...."The Hard Rock Band that Could".
