Bio

Emerging from the swampy bayous of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Sorry Ghost of 2018 is vastly different than the band that was founded in late 2016. Described as high-energy pop punk and known for their “eccentric and often unpredictablelive performances,” Sorry Ghost is here to angst-ily whisper sweet nothings into your collective ears. Heck, Sorry Ghost even has their own signature cocktail, the “Sorry Ghost,” crafted by a local venue in their honor. Their music blends nostalgic pop punk with modern production, offering a unique concoction that is decidedly Sorry Ghost. It just might change your life and cause you to question everything you’ve previously thought about music.

The group began as a four piece intent on writing 90s-era skate punk notable in their self-recorded 2017 EP “Win By Default.” After a successful self-produced music video release of their lead single “Triangles” which garnered over 2,700 views on YouTube, the band was energized to continue creating music and shift towards a more polished, current sound. The year 2018 marked a significant evolution for the band as they settled into their three-piece lineup featuring Daniel Anton on bass and lead vocals, Matthew Polito on guitar and vocals, and Tyler Hernandez on drums.

While cutting their teeth in the local Baton Rouge and New Orleans music scene, the young lads managed to consistently bring in 100+ people to listen to them play
. Sorry Ghost then decided to take their talents to the studio and record a proper studio release with producer Jonathan Dolese of KonKrete Studios in New Orleans. On October 5th, 2018, their single “Bumper Cars” was released accompanied with an official music video and currently sits close to 50,000 streams across all platforms.

April 1st, 2020 marked a monumental moment in Sorry Ghost history. They released debut album The Morning After that features 11 songs that’ll be sure to rock your socks off. Get ready to catch the band headlining at Coachella with a signature Sorry Ghost cocktail in hand.
