About
If you want traditional and roots music for your wedding or special event, then Sweet Music is the go to band. Based in western MA, they are regular performers around metro Springfield. Sweet Music is an all acoustic traditional and roots based in the Connecticut River Valley of western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut.
With fiddler Adam R Sweet and guitarist James Bunting, banjoist Claudine Langille, percussionist/keyboardist Brian Bender and bassist Joe Blumenthal, the ensemble specializes in performing new arrangements of traditional and roots music for weddings, parties and more.
After touring Ireland in 1996, Adam Sweet formed the first version of the band, by performing at contradances, coffee houses and pubs around western Mass. The band has recorded several albums and participated in hundreds of weddings, parties, festivals and public concerts, thrilling audiences with its versions of traditional Celtic, Bluegrass and Klezmer music. Sweet Music offeris new arrangements of traditional music for clients throughout New England. From Celtic to Bluegrass to Klezmer and everything in-between, Sweet Music's spin on acoustic folk and dance styles of Europe bridges the divide between the old and the new and offers audiences a little of the old cloth to satisfy just about any taste.
