"Exclusive Song Premiere: "Backdoor Bay" by Piano."

Piano. was formed in 2014 with members: Mike Kerr (lead guitar, vocals), Matt Litt (bass, keys, vocals), & Scott Underwood (drums, vocals). The trio has quickly cemented itself in the South Georgia music scene as a power, rock 'n' roll trio, with an energetic live presence. What started as a side project for these experienced musicians, quickly exploded into a full-time band. We couldn't be more excited to debut Piano.'s latest single, "Backdoor Bay," off of their upcoming release, Sick Bones.

Sick Bones is Piano.'s follow up to this past February's release, 'Tiny Bullet Choir EP', & their first full length album. The band returned to Dollhouse Studios in Savannah, Georgia to work with Producer/Engineer Peter Mavrogeorgis (The National, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Creepoid). Sick Bones contains 12 tracks exploring blues, rock & punk music. The album is scheduled for an official release on Friday, November 13th 2015. Since its inception in September 2014, Piano. has toured relentlessly across the Southeast, sharing the stage with acts such as JJ Grey & Mofro, People's Blues of Richmond, Atlas Road Crew, DANK, Funk You & BYOG. Piano. has plans for a "mini-tour" in support of the album's release, but in the meantime, you can catch them in Milledgeville, Macon, Statesboro, Athens, Tuscaloosa, and Columbus on the dates listed below. - Live & Listen

"Piano.'s new EP showcases 'devilishly heartbreaking blues'"

Piano. was created last August with the intent of covering songs by The Black Keys and The White Stripes, but as the band progressed into its own entity, the members have dropped the whole cover-band charade. They’re creating a buzz all around Georgia, and last month they released their first EP of original songs entitled “Tiny Bullet Choir.”
Piano. is comprised of musicians Michael Kerr of Francis Marion and the Crocodiles, Scott Underwood of Those Cats and Matt Litt, also of Francis Marion. Juggling one band each in addition to their day jobs was challenging enough, so starting a second project was not something the members took lightly. They are extremely dedicated to the music they create.
“It’s not like we were like, ‘Oh hey, let’s just start a band in our garage.’ We have all played in various bands throughout the years, so this wasn’t something we were new to,” said guitarist Kerr.
But while the artists of Piano. are serious about their music, their laid-back approach to the creative process comes down to feeling out what comes naturally and going with it. This tactic has produced a positive effect for the band in a short matter of time. Even the title of the EP was an error in communication that just sounded right.
“We were overlaying vocals and I made a comment saying, ‘It sounds like a tiny boy choir,’” said Underwood, Piano.’s drummer. “Our producer, Peter Mavrogeorgis, thought I said ‘tiny bullet choir,’ and I said ‘That’s it. That’s the name of the EP.’”
The band spent two 15-hour days in the studio, recording the EP at Dollhouse Productions in Savannah. The five-song EP contains an easily receivable minimalist quality that is cohesive with the band’s overall vibe. With all three members contributing to vocals, they are able to add a variety of vocal construction and bring a hauntingly eerie addition to their blues guitar riffs, as in their song “Friend of a Friend.”
Along with the release of their first EP, the three-piece has shared a music video of their first single “Don’t Talk to Me,” which Litt wrote when he was 16. The video also goes along with the vibe of just letting it flow, considering it is a compilation of videos shot during the recording of “Tiny Bullet Choir.” This video can be found on the band’s Facebook page as well as Airbound Entertainment’s YouTube channel.
Piano. combines its members varied musical interests to create a unique, lo-fi bluesy tone. To get this vintage sound, the members first recorded into an analog tape.
“Anything analog captures a feeling and an energy that is easily transferred to listeners,” said Kerr.
“Tiny Bullet Choir” will be released digitally on iTunes, Spotify and other music sites in the coming weeks, but can be heard live April 2 at Club 125. In addition to their original tracks, Paino. will still throw a few cover songs into the mix — nothing contemporary, but songs from bands that have given the members musical inspiration.
Piano. is in the process of planning a tour for the summer with a full-length album to be released this fall. To stay updated with everything the band is doing, like them on Facebook and check out “Tiny Bullet Choir” on the band's website, www.thebandpiano.com. - Connect Statesboro

However, the group in question is comprised of several sarcastic assholes who have adopted the moniker 'The Band Piano.' only to play music at a volume the complete opposite of quiet.
