Bio

Since 2002 The Mighty Orq has been performing solo and with his band across the US and Europe. He has won multiple awards, released six albums, and an instructional DVD for solo resonator slide guitar. He is a uniquely talented singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist with a focus in the American Roots Music genres.

Long known as a stand-out singer and guitarist, Orq has matured both as a writer and arranger as heard on his 2016 release, “Love In A Hurricane,” and as a solo performer on his 2019 album “Solo at the Bugle Boy,” a live album recorded at the famed central Texas listening room and released on YAWP Records.

During the pandemic  Orq developed a live streaming series called The Stay at Home Sessions, that allowed him to continue performing. The concert series became a staple of Mighty Orq fans, and hosted Texas music greats such as  SHINYRIBS, Guy Forsyth,  and New Orleans harmonica virtuoso, Jason Ricci.

With the help of Edgewater Music Group and crowdfunding Orq has recorded a new full length a,bum with his band set for release in early 2024.
