"BIMA.FEST Interview"

"Friends, I was at the Ottobar last night, and I had the extreme fortune to see some of the musical mayhem laid forth by Bobby E. Lee & The Sympathizers. They put on one heck of a show, and had the kids dancin' and hootin' and hollerin' and all sorts of misbehavin'. Yours truly was mighty impressed" - Megan Petty - Fuzzy Logic

"Big Baltimore Roots Revival"

"By this point, Frazier’s was officially packed. Bobby E. Lee & the Sympathizers’ hoedown-meltdown was in full swing, bringing together the dirty energies of country music and punk music. There was dancing, lots of it, urgent, intimate, a mass of once disparate individuals coalescing into a loosely defined singular unit… I haven’t shaken my ass like that in a long time." - Kevin Chesser - What Weekly

"BEST FOLK 2012"

"Bobby E. Lee and crew aren’t a novelty act: They play folk music fueled by gasoline, where the 10 percent irony acts like ethanol. With songs like “I Need a Cigarette,” and “Root Hog or Die,” and a vicious, sweaty, and beer-filled live show, this band brings more energy than many of their folk competitors combined." - City Paper

"Sympathy for the Devil"

"With their foot-stomping, tent-revival hillbilly rock, Bobby E. Lee and the Sympathizers are one of Baltimore’s most fun live bands. But like everything fun, there’s a hint of danger about them." - Baynard Woods - The Urbanite

Bio

Bobby E. Lee & the Sympathizers is a Baltimore band who only plays the swampiest, stompiest, good timey music. The members of this humble troop are from all over our beloved country, from the majestic Appalachian Mountains to the gritty Mississippi swamp. To call their shows a mere concert is to sell them horridly short; they put on a honky tonk opera, a real show with characters and all. If you want to have a grand old time just swing your partner, grab some booze, and call up the Sympathizers for some killer tunes.
