"Jazz At Pearls"

Fantastic Young Artist ! His set was a musical journey thru time, as he sang/played classics from Ray Charles,Miles Davis, and his Duke Ellington(his cousin !) I would have liked to hear more of his album live, but I heard enough of it .His musical pedigree is unquestionable. I will be following his musical career as his star rises !

"Goapele & Trace Ellington"

Trace Ellington

Music. Rhythm. Soul. The sound man must've been bugging or something! When Trace hit the stage, all we heard was the music and not him. When he sat to play the piano, NOTHING. Ah! So when he finished his first song, he told sound man to fix the issue. Haha. All better after that. He was rocking some clear brown shades with fly white slacks and a clean white button up shirt. The man was looking GOOD! His set was relatively longer than Mark Wright. He had the crowd on their feet, swaying hips side to side meanwhile side stepping. I wont lie though, I got a bit tired after a while. The sun was RIGHT in my eyes and it was killing my vision. I looked around the venue. It looked like everyone had brown hats on. We all rolled our programs and used them as shades. Never the less, Trace was on point. This man has some talent. I loved his rendition of Floetry's "Say Yes." Definitely give this guy a chance. After he graced the stage with his presence, it was a 15 minute brake.
