Bio

“BOYS, THAT WAS ONE HELLUVA SHOW!" is a phrase that is frequently heard following any performance by the Travis Parker Band. Based in New Braunfels, Texas, Travis Parker has established himself as one of the most prolific singer/songwriters to hit the scene in quite some time. When you pair Travis' writing skills and powerful vocals with a hot band (Spencer Whitney - lead guitar, Austin Garrett - bass, and Levi Travesio - drums), the result is a brand of hard driving country/rock and soulful ballads that is nothing less than astounding.  When asked what has contributed to his rapid success, Travis says, "I empathize with my audience. I put myself in their shoes. They're contributing their time and hard earned money to see a show. They expect a quality product. It's my duty to give them just that.  It's my goal to blow them away with the very first song and build from there". We guess that is why Travis is able to keep an audience engaged and enthusiastic throughout his entire set list.

Travis began his musical career in the small North Texas town of Ravenna.  He began by playing "open mic nights" at local establishments and for anyone else who would stop for a moment and listen. Since that time he has grown into playing over 100 acoustic and full band shows per year.   In addition to headlining his own shows, Travis has shared the stage with notable performers such as Stoney Larue, Kyle Park, Zane Williams, John David Kent, Midnight River Choir, Dustin Perkins, James McMurtry, Brandon Jenkins, Reverend Horton Heat and many others.  Notable venues that have hosted the Travis Parker Band include Love and War in Texas (Plano, TX), Hank’s Texas Grill (McKinney, TX), Tumbleweed Saloon (Stillwater, OK), Tavern in the Gruene (New Braunfels, TX), Hole in the Wall (Austin, TX), Drunken Mule (Commerce, TX), and Smitty’s Bar and Grill (Denison, TX), Shotguns (Austin, TX).  The band has also performed at numerous festivals.  Major influences include the Black Crows, Neil Young, Steve Earle, Ryan Bingham, and Will Hoge.

Travis is currently in the studio to record his second album.  Cuts from his first album (Finding Direction, 2013) have received airplay from radio stations around Texas and Oklahoma where Travis has also participated in several  “in studio” guest performances and interviews.

Much of his success, he attributes to CTK entertainment who started promoting him in 2014. "Those guys are awesome!  They work hard, we work hard, and it's really paying off for all of us", says Travis.

When asked what has been the most gratifying moment of his career, Travis states, "looking down from the stage and seeing unfamiliar lips singing along with my tunes. I think 'those people know my stuff and specifically came here to hear it!' There's not a feeling quite like that".

Travis Parker holds to his Philosophy that fun is contagious. “If we're having fun, then our audience is having fun.  If they're having fun, then we're having fun. We feed off one another. However, we understand that it's up to us to set the stage and get the ball rolling. So far I think we've been very successful at that.  If we do our job, everyone wins.  We win, the venue wins, and most importantly....the folks that paid to see us win!"
