"Trivial Nonsense - Amor Ni Deseo"

The nine track album is a not inconsequential body of work, as Trivial Nonsense ponder both thoughts of hopelessness in a society that is intent on splintering in to silos of righteousness along with an optimism that the mistakes of the recent past can ultimately be rectified resulting in a more inclusive cohesion.

The roughly twenty two minutes release comprises of thoughtful measured tracks that have a natural flow from one to the other, giving Heaven an organic, breathing embodiment which during its journey brings in connectivity of influences from different continents – my selection from the LP being the latina-rock threaded fourth – Amor Ni Deseo. - Tim Whale

"Q108 Kingston"

[I] love the 80's punk style beat on Amor Ni Deseo - Elvis Costello meets Metallica. Definitely a unique funk style on Castles and like the fast track energy on Heaven - 90's rock feel to it. Pearl Jam meets the Foo Fighters. - Randy Skaggs

Bio

Note: When playing larger performances and/or a performance is a part of a larger organized tour, Luke and Brandon will be accompanied with at least two other musicians (a bassist and trumpet player) and at most four other musicians (pianist, bassist, trumpet player, and electric guitarist). If Trivial Nonsense will be playing a performance including other musicians on the stage, this will be communicated clearly with the booking agent and negotiated if there is any issue.

Bio

Trivial Nonsense is made up of the duo of Brandon Lighty (19) and Luke Mayer (18). The creative pair aims to break down existing industry norms through aggressive grass roots fan movements they have started across the country, as well as going back to the basics and focusing their energy on their art... music.

The goal of Trivial Nonsense is to create unique Alternative music inspired from all genres of music. Coming from different styles of music themselves (Brandon Lighty, lead vocalist and multi-instrumentalist through indie rock and folk, and Luke Mayer, the percussionist through rock) Trivial Nonsense brings a new and unique sound to the alternative style. A sound that has consistently sold out venues and set record attendance numbers at others.

On the "Heaven EP" and other upcoming songs

After being signed with a small independent record label, Brandon Lighty (19) and Luke Mayer (18) had their eyes opened to the greedy underbelly of the music industry. At that same time, they were experiencing what is perhaps the largest political polarization the United States has seen in a century.

The Heaven EP is Trivial Nonsense's response to a politically, emotionally, and physically devastating two years where hope, excitement, and a youthful naiveness takes center stage. Recorded, mixed, and produced themselves, this Alt. Rock EP is initially instrumentally and sonically hopeful for the future, but there is also an underlying theme of powerlessness, apathy, and deceit that makes itself known the further into the recordings one gets. In a world that looks completely different than what it did three years ago, the Heaven EP gives a nostalgic look back at what could've been done differently, while also showing the signs of what was to come had always been there, undermining everything from the beginning.

The songs Changing and Embrace the Lie are the duos first steps back into the music industry after a brief hiatus. With a new, modern, sound infused with the rock genre and a goal to push past the brokenness expressed in the Heaven EP, these two new tracks are just the beginning of what is to come.
