Bio

Ttereve (Ter-eve)

This 26 year old uniquely diverse, down to earth cat was born and raised in the city of Los Angeles, but resides in the good ol' valley, the 818, the city that everybody loves to hate.

Growing up as kid, Ttereve was always influenced and inspired by his older brother to begin skateboarding at a very young age, which shaped him into the stylishly skilled boarder his is today.
At the start of his middle school years, Ttereve took up a fascination with acting and wanted to become, “the next Denzel”. He started to frequently do background work in television, film, and commercials up until his Sophomore year at Taft High School. At that time he picked up a racquet for the first time in his life and made the JV tennis team. In fact, he made varsity his Junior and Senior years, and earned his team the City Champs of 07’ title after defeating Palisades High. However, while he was excelling in sports, he hid a passion for smooth rhythm, rhyme and poetry, and only found true expression and personal escape through his private writings.
While finishing up his degree in theater in the spring of 2012, and shortly after starring in his first major school play in the winter, “The Exonerated”, Ttereve decided to unexpectedly share his music and thoughts with the world at the start of the new year.
A little less than a month later, on February 28th 2013, at the legendary Key Club in Los Angeles, Ttereve made his presence known to the world and killed the stage with fellow rap artist Joey Supratta, founder of Supratta Records. The event, Battle of the Bands, was a competition to open up for Method Man. Although the two underdogs lost the favored competition, they won the attention of the crowd and the loyal respect of many fans and fellow competitors.
Ironically, no more than 4 months later on June 6th, Ttereve and Joey Supratta got a long-deserved opportunity to open up for both Method Man and Redman at the Belasco theatre in L.A. Less than 2 months after their unforgettable performance at the Belasco, they tore down the stage at the Roxy in L.A. for Battle of the Bells, a competition for a chance to perform at Rock the Bells. Although falling short after an unexpected “tie breaker”, Ttereve and Joey Supratta were personally invited back to open up for Pete Rock & CL Smooth and Camp Lo at the Roxy on October 26th.
Ttereve was clearly on a roll with a full head of steam and no intentions on slowing down. On November 15, Ttereve and Joey Supratta took the crown at the Roxy in the Battle for L.A. and became finalists earning an exclusive live on-air interview with 93.5KDAY. They had several of their tracks spun by Dj_Showtime, including the premier of their hit “Amen”.
It wasn't long after until Ttereve and the rest of the artists at Supratta Records personally sponsored and put together their own local event at the Cobalt Café in Canoga Park. The event aimed to appreciate the creativity of local artists and showcased more than a dozen acts.

Recently, Ttevere has been doing solo shows across the LA County, including opening up for Big Pooh and Roc C at The Airliner. Ttereve and Joey Supratta also took the W at a hip hop showcase competition at Los Globos in May, where they won the amazing opportunity to have a mixtape hosted and featured by Dj B Original on Datpiff and Coast2Coast Mixtapes. Wasting no time, the two got to work on their latest project called “vLAy Drought”. The mixape, set be released early September, consists of solo tracks by the two as well as a collab track featuring all the artists under Supratta Records.
Being very critical of his work and feeling even more inspired, Ttereve reviewed videos of all his performances and critiqued everything about his sets. He didn’t care for how well he did; he was looking for ways to improve. When he needs extra motivation, he reminisces back to two specific sets; his first one at the Key Club where a battle was lost, and his opening set for Method Man & Redman at the Belasco, where his hard work redeemed him a second opportunity. When Ttereve needs even more inspiration, he remembers his first victory at the Roxy for The Battle of LA, and reminds himself to keep doing what he loves, no matter the outcome, knowing that the dedication, love and respect put in will be gratefully returned in due time.
