Bio

Victor Abendano is the American dream. The songs on his recently released album Seasons Pass reflect the hard-fought pursuit of that American dream.

His debut EP was recorded in Nashville and produced by Monty Russell and James Cook. Russell turned to Grammy award winning accordion player Joel Guzman and Austin’s Tijuana Trainwreck horns, a staple in the Shinyribs show, to give the EP the right amount of Texas spice. With the addition of Russell and singer-songwriters Bethany Raybourn and Mionne Destiny on vocals, the album was completed and shipped on the very day Victor moved to Pittsburgh. With album in hand, he has spent the last few months trying to establish himself in the Pittsburgh scene.

Named Seasons Pass as he himself passes into a new Season of his life, Abendano’s EP has funky songs about the circle of life, Everybody,  about questioning the purpose of his time in Fallujah, Hard To Really Ever Know, an apologetic lament about his robbery incident, The Highway, a rocking warning about being bombarded by information to influence our behaviors, More, a romantic plea to a woman who evokes visions of Paradise, Paradise, and a double entendre Latin influenced romp about a passion for playing music and for a girl of music, Music Is  Her Name.

With current political speech and racially charged talking points “to build that wall” and to “send them :back,” now is the time to listen to the story of Victor Abendano: Made In Mexico. Raised in Texas. Defender of the United States. Living the American dream.
