After three successful campaigns with his singles, AZ lets the Shepard Of Leonard: An Ode To R&B And Love Sounds go public! Blending elements of Alternative Pop, Neo-Soul and Hip-Hop, (A)lex combines an electric pattern of sounds that give a very euphoric atmosphere. In his own words, (A)lex(Z)ander attributes artist such as Prince, Rick James, Goodie Mob, Dungeon Family, Outkast, A Tribe Called Quest, & Pharrell Williams as his influences. (A)lex(Z)ander has found a niche in being able create subtle hints of nostalgia, while still being able to keep up with modern sound standards. (A)lex(Z)ander is a Alternative Hip-Hop Artist, Neo-Soul Singer and Spoken Word Poet. He draws inspiration from a very eclectic pallet attributing artist such as Prince, Rick James, ATQC, Dungeon Family, Pharrell Williams, Outkast, D'Angelo, Maxwell and Jamiroquai. In November of 2017 His single "I Want You" was Accredited by Detroit Metro Times drawing comparisons to Grammy Nominated singer Soul Singer Bilal. In March of 2017 (A)lex(Z)ander performed on 6th Street at SXSW in Austin, Texas. Shortly after (A)lex(Z)ander was featured in The Source Magazine, Bo1da and Trap-A-Locs and Detroit Metro Times again. His latest single "Thank You" has been played Detroit's 10.75 radio station. He returned to SXSW in 2018 performing on 5 stages. His music is Available on Apple Music, SoundCloud, Spotify and iHeart Radio.
